How We Approach a Paving Job
Asphalt Paving Kettering paves, repairs and maintains asphalt driveways, parking pads and small parking lots in Kettering and the surrounding Miami Valley: Oakwood, Centerville, Beavercreek, Moraine, Dayton and the suburbs around them.
Kettering grew fast after World War II. The village incorporated in 1952, became a city in 1955 and added more than 30,000 residents between the 1950s and the 1970s, and more than half of its homes date from the 1950s and 1960s. That means a lot of driveways that have been rebuilt once or twice already, sitting on bases of uneven quality. We start every job by finding out what is under the surface.
What happens at the estimate
- We measure the area and look at slope, drainage and any low spots
- We probe the existing pavement for soft areas and check the edges
- We look at the concrete drive apron, curb and sidewalk at the street
- We ask how the drive is used: how many cars, any trailers, boats or work trucks
What the proposal shows
Each part of the job is listed with its price: removal, base repair and depth, asphalt thickness, edges and joints, and any work that reaches the public right-of-way. If the apron or sidewalk is involved, we explain what the City of Kettering requires for that work so there are no surprises.
Work starts only after you approve the proposal, and changes are written up for your approval first. To book a free estimate, call (937) 826-3636.
